6 questions

TPK Lighting (TPK Optoelectronic Tech Co., Ltd.) is an outdoor architectural lighting manufacturer based in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. We develop and manufacture LED wall washers, linear lights, spotlights, floodlights, stadium lights and related control solutions for facade, bridge, landscape and building exterior projects.

Our role is manufacturer plus project support partner. In practice, that means product supply, technical documentation, customization support and coordination for international projects — not general contracting or civil installation work.

TPK's core product range consists of four series:

  • LED Wall Washer (LWW series) — uniform facade illumination for building exteriors, bridges and landmarks. Available 18W–150W, IP67, static and RGBW.
  • LED Linear Light (LLS series) — architectural outline lighting for rooflines, eaves, bridge cables and structural edge definition. Available in static and RGBW.
  • LED Spotlight / Floodlight (SP series) — long-throw accent lighting for tall facades, landmark towers, trees and monuments. 170W–620W.
  • LED Stadium Light (STD series) — broadcast-grade sports facility lighting for football pitches, ice arenas and multi-sport venues.

Application scenarios include hotels, commercial complexes, bridges, cultural buildings, sports arenas, roadside landscapes and urban renewal districts.

TPK offers both standard catalogue products and project-based customization.

  • Standard range — suitable for common facade, bridge, landscape and building exterior applications
  • Structure & finish — custom dimensions, bracket adjustments and finish changes where feasible
  • Optics & control — beam angle, dimming and control protocol adjustments depending on the product platform
  • OEM support — branding, packaging and documentation for qualified OEM projects

If your project has non-standard mounting, optical or control requirements, contact TPK with drawings or a requirement brief and we can review feasibility.

TPK documents project experience across facade lighting, bridge lighting, hospitality, landmark, sports and urban renewal applications. Public project references include bridge and infrastructure projects, commercial facades, hotels, landmark buildings and stadium environments in international markets.

The best way to assess fit is by application type. If your project is a facade, bridge, hotel exterior, landscape or landmark lighting job, our team can recommend the most relevant product family and reference cases.

TPK provides both product supply and project support, but we are a manufacturer rather than a general contractor.

  • Product recommendation and fixture selection
  • Technical documents such as specification sheets, IES files, drawings and wiring references
  • Customization review for optics, mounting and control requirements
  • Installation guidance, remote technical support and project coordination where needed

For overseas projects, TPK mainly supports the project as a technical manufacturing partner rather than providing local construction labor.

TPK has established long-term partnerships with leading international LED chip and component brands. By combining high-quality light sources with TPK's in-house optical design capability, products are engineered to meet professional standards for colour consistency, light output stability and long-term reliability.

Quality assurance is governed by TPK's ISO 9001 quality management system, covering the full production process from material sourcing through SMD assembly, IP sealing, electrical testing, optical verification and 48-hour aging test before shipment.

8 questions

TPK outdoor fixtures cover IP65 to IP68 depending on the model and application.

  • IP65 — suitable for sheltered outdoor areas and locations exposed to rain or wash-down water
  • IP67 — the recommended minimum for most permanent outdoor architectural lighting projects
  • IP68 — for underwater or permanently submerged applications

For facade, bridge and landscape projects, IP67 is usually the most practical choice. Final selection should still depend on the mounting environment, cleaning conditions and whether the fixture is exposed to long-term standing water.

  • ETL Listed — North America (USA & Canada). Confirms compliance with applicable UL safety standards for commercial and architectural installation. Required by most North American building authorities for project sign-off.
  • CE Certified — European Union. Confirms compliance with EU Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive. Required for all electrical products sold or used in EU member states.
  • ISO 9001 — International quality management system covering all TPK manufacturing processes.
  • RoHS Compliant — EU environmental compliance confirming no restricted hazardous substances above permitted thresholds.
  • IP67 / IP68 — Validated by third-party immersion testing.

Certification documents — certificates, declarations of conformity and test reports — are available on request. Email ES2@topkinglite.com specifying the product model and certification required.

TPK architectural lighting covers colour temperatures from 2700K (very warm white) to 6500K (cool/daylight white), with RGBW dynamic variants for colour-changing applications.

Standard CRI is Ra ≥80. The precision engineering series achieves Ra ≥90, suitable for applications where accurate colour rendering of stone, glass curtain walls and facade materials is critical — such as museum facades, premium hotels and heritage buildings.

MacAdam colour consistency is ≤3 SDCM standard, with ≤2 SDCM available on premium series — ensuring visual uniformity across multiple fixtures on the same facade.

Yes. TPK's RGBW wall washers and linear lights support DMX512 protocol, enabling dynamic colour changes, brightness adjustment and programmable scene sequences — suitable for commercial complexes, cultural tourism projects and urban landmark buildings.

Additional control protocols supported across different product models:

  • RDM (Remote Device Management) — for bidirectional DMX communication and remote fixture addressing
  • DALI-2 — for integration with building management systems
  • 0-10V — simple analogue dimming for single-colour static installations
  • Triac / Phase-cut — for retrofit dimming applications
  • PWM — for low-voltage DC system integration

DMX512 long-distance signal amplifiers are available for bridge and large infrastructure installations where cable runs exceed standard transmission distances.

TPK LED architectural fixtures are designed for a rated life of 50,000 hours or more (L70 — the point at which lumen output drops to 70% of initial). At 8 operating hours per day, this equates to approximately 17 years of continuous use.

Warranty terms by product series:

  • Standard LED wall washers and linear lights: 3 years
  • Premium wall washer and stadium light series: 5 years
  • Custom engineering products: subject to specification, confirmed at quotation stage

The warranty covers manufacturing defects, LED lumen depreciation beyond rated specifications, driver and electrical component failures under normal operating conditions, and IP rating failure under correct installation. See the full after-sales response process →

TPK LED architectural fixtures typically reduce energy consumption by 50–70% compared to traditional metal halide or fluorescent floodlights for equivalent light output.

Luminous efficacy reaches 130 lm/W and above for standard product lines — significantly higher than metal halide (80–100 lm/W) or fluorescent (60–80 lm/W) alternatives.

For large-scale projects — such as a commercial building facade with 200+ fixtures, or a bridge with several hundred wall washers — replacing traditional sources with TPK LED systems generates substantial annual electricity savings, alongside elimination of frequent lamp replacement costs and reduced maintenance access requirements at height.

For a project-specific energy saving calculation, please share your current fixture specifications and operating hours — our team can provide an estimate.

TPK's manufacturing facility is located in Dongfeng Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, China, with an operating area of about 8,000 square metres.

The factory supports outdoor architectural lighting production through organized assembly, optical and electrical testing, aging tests, waterproof verification and quality control processes under ISO 9001 management.

Product Selection Guide

Quick guidance by application, height, optics and control method.

5 questions

For building facades above 20 metres, architectural floodlights (spotlights) are typically required — specifically our SP-DKP-F170 series (170W) or SP-MEGA-F310/F620 series (310W–620W) depending on height and required illuminance level.

General guideline by height:

  • 0–10 metres — LED wall washers (LWW series) are most effective, delivering smooth uniform illumination at close range
  • 10–25 metres — high-power wall washers (LWW-ROWS-W150) or medium-power spotlights (SP-DKP-F170)
  • 25–50 metres — SP-MEGA-F310 or equivalent high-power spotlight with narrow beam (10°–20°)
  • 50–70+ metres — SP-MEGA-F620 (620W) with very narrow beam angle (8°–15°)

The exact fixture specification also depends on the target illuminance level (lux), facade material and reflectance, and mounting distance available. Our engineering team can calculate the right configuration for your project.

Wall Washer (linear fixture):

  • Typically long and linear in form — creates a wide, flat band of light
  • Core function: grazing and washing — illuminating wall surfaces evenly at close range (typically within 2 metres of the wall)
  • Ideal for: low continuous facades, building floor-level outlines, highlighting surface textures on stone or brick walls
  • Effective mounting height range: up to ~10 metres
  • Key requirement: continuous uniformity — no zebra-stripe hotspots

Spotlight / Floodlight (point-source fixture):

  • Round or square point source — beam angles from 5° (narrow spot) to 120° (wide flood)
  • Core function: precision long-distance projection — illuminating tall facades, tower tops, bridge cables or architectural focal points from far away
  • Like a sniper rifle for light — high central intensity, long throw distance
  • Effective mounting height: up to 70+ metres at high wattage
  • Light continuity is less even than a wall washer but delivers far greater reach and intensity

Static white (2700K / 3000K / 4000K) — "Restrained presence and premium quality":

  • Best for: corporate headquarters, luxury hotels, financial centres, museums, high-end office buildings
  • Effect: perfectly renders the natural texture of the building material (stone, glass curtain wall, metal cladding)
  • Communicates: stability, permanence, high value — does not compete with the architecture for attention

Dynamic RGBW colour — "Commercial vitality and landmark impact":

  • Best for: shopping centres, entertainment complexes, sports arenas, theme parks, mixed-use commercial developments
  • Effect: strong visual impact and emotional engagement — turns the building into a city-scale visual focal point
  • Advantage: can change colour schemes for festivals, sporting events, seasons or brand campaigns without hardware changes
  • Reference project: Living World Mall, Indonesia — RGBW dynamic facade highlighting 3D geometric textures

Many commercial projects combine both approaches: static warm white for the base building skin, with RGBW accent fixtures on key architectural features for selective dynamic effects.

The IP (Ingress Protection) rating has two digits: the first indicates dust protection (6 = fully dust-tight), the second indicates water protection:

  • IP65 — Protected against water jets from any direction. Suitable for sheltered outdoor locations or areas with occasional water exposure.
  • IP67 — Can withstand immersion in water up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. Recommended minimum for all permanent outdoor architectural installations — facades, bridges, landscape, car wash lighting.
  • IP68 — Rated for continuous submersion. Required for fountain lighting, underwater feature lighting or permanently submerged applications.

TPK recommendation: Always specify IP67 for permanent outdoor architectural installations. It provides a meaningful safety margin above IP65, ensuring long-term reliability in rain, high-pressure cleaning and accidental flooding scenarios.

  • DMX512 — The professional standard for dynamic colour-changing architectural lighting. Best for RGBW programming, large facade installations with multiple zones, and lighting shows. One universe = up to 512 channels (128 RGBW fixtures or 170 RGB fixtures). Medium-high system complexity.
  • DALI-2 — Best for dimming integration with building management systems (BMS). Suitable for mixed interior/exterior systems where central control is needed. Medium complexity.
  • 0-10V — Simplest and most cost-effective for single-zone static white dimming. No programming required — dim with an analogue signal. Low complexity.
  • Triac / Phase-cut — For retrofit dimming in residential or simple commercial applications. Low complexity.

Recommendation: For architectural facade lighting with dynamic colour or programmable scenes, choose DMX512. For static white with simple dimming, 0-10V is sufficient and more cost-effective. Discuss your specific control requirements with our engineering team before specifying.

Sustainability & Environment

RoHS, energy efficiency and end-of-life handling.

3 questions

Yes. TPK products comply with the EU RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive, confirming that restricted heavy metals and chemicals are not present above permitted thresholds — including lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr VI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

Multiple TPK product lines carry additional certifications such as CE, ETL and RoHS simultaneously. RoHS Declaration of Conformity documents are available on request.

TPK improves project energy efficiency through several approaches:

  • High-efficacy LED technology — 130 lm/W and above, delivering more light per watt than traditional sources
  • Precision optics — directing light exactly where needed, minimising wasted output and reducing over-specification of wattage
  • Flexible control compatibility — DMX, DALI and 0-10V dimming allow light levels to be tuned to actual requirements rather than running at full output during low-activity periods
  • Long design life — 50,000+ hours reduces replacement frequency and associated waste from manufacturing new fixtures
  • Right-sizing by application — TPK's engineering team helps clients avoid over-specification (using higher wattage than needed), which is one of the most common sources of unnecessary energy consumption in architectural lighting

TPK outdoor fixture housings are manufactured from high-strength die-cast aluminium alloy and tempered borosilicate glass — both materials with high recyclability rates at end of product life, causing no permanent environmental contamination.

For the internal electronic components (LED modules, DMX drivers, circuit boards), TPK recommends:

  • Follow local WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive requirements and use a certified electronic waste recycling facility for disposal of electronic components
  • In regions without WEEE infrastructure, engage a licensed e-waste processor for responsible disassembly

The most direct environmental contribution of TPK products is their extreme durability — validated through C5-M marine-grade corrosion resistance, IP67/IP68 weatherproofing and 50,000-hour design life. A fixture that lasts 17 years under daily use represents far less manufacturing resource consumption than two or three shorter-life replacements covering the same period.
